Physical AI for Chemistry Lab (PAIC Lab)
Peking University · The Mo Group at PKU
The Physical AI for Chemistry Lab (PAIC Lab) focuses on Physical AI in chemistry, integrating artificial intelligence, automated synthesis, and physical-chemistry principles to build a closed loop for autonomous chemical discovery. Whether you are a student who wants to join us, a colleague looking for collaboration, or a partner interested in technology transfer, you will find an entry point here.

I am from industry
We have landed collaborative projects with leading enterprises such as Wanhua Chemical, Qilu Pharmaceutical, and ByteDance. Let's talk about industry–academia–research synergy.
Three things we work on
- AI-assisted chromatographic separation & purification, and automation platforms — turning chromatography from an “experience-based craft” into a “predictable science”.
- AI molecular spectroscopy — predicting infrared / UV / mass / circular-dichroism spectra from molecular structure in seconds.
- Physical AI for chemistry — AI agents that operate robots to autonomously run real experiments, closing the perceive–reason–act loop for chemical discovery.
